Enough of the Unbelief!

I have watched with disdain the continued attack on my generation by some young Nigerians who also belong to that generation and this needs to be said!

To continue to say that we are not ready or we are lazy or we are occupied by nuances or we are even more corrupt than the previous generations is defeatist and an appeal to the worst of us.

Enough Is Enough

If you think this generation is a wasted one and cannot do better than the previous ones, you sure have a right to your opinion but don’t be too quick to impose your hasty generalization on all of us!

One Voice can change a room, and a community, and a state and the world — Barack Obama

The mistake we continue to make is to think that we all need to be upright and committed and ‘serious’ for our generation to deliver.

There’s no further lie from the truth.

There will never be a generation where majority of the people will be committed to positive change, if only because change in the positive direction is difficult, it is swimming against the tide of nature.

DECAY is the natural progression of life and that is why human beings die. To expect that we would all of a sudden have people change their orientation and be passionate about positive change for our country is to expect the moon to light the skies in the morning.

It won’t happen and I don’t expect it.

Are we the turning point generation? We sure as heaven don’t need all of us in this generation to answer a yes to this question. All it takes is a crop of young Nigerians who will defy the odds and their environment and in spite of what Nigeria has to offer them will commit to making a difference.

Do we have these kind of young Nigerians in this generation? The answer is a resounding Yes!

Will the activities of a million other young Nigerians overshadow their impact|? Maybe! Maybe Not!

But if it took less than 100 Nigerians below the ages of 40 to achieve independence in a Nigeria that had a population of about 80 million people, then the odds are greatly in our favor.

We will Deliver! If you don’t believe it, Keep your unbelief to yourself and don’t infect others.

Yours Truly,

JFK
